Food Loss and Waste is a major problem in Australia, causing significant environmental and economic impacts, and costing our economy around $36.6 billion a year. Unused food amounts to approx. 7.6 million tonnes of food across the supply chain, which equates to roughly 312kg of food thrown away, per person, per year.
